HOUSTON -- Firefighters from Firehouse 68 were honored at this year's HFD Valor Awards ceremony. The following awards were given:

Unit Medal of Valor:

- Senior Captain Curtis Williams, Captain Jason Rosenfield; Firefighters: Christopher Foster, Jason Foster, Jesse Gonzalez, Rodrick Taylor, Mathew Rigsby - for their actions at the 7225 Bellerive Dr. highrise fire.

- Captain Jesse Villasana, Firefighters: Jason Hamilton, and Glen Mears - for their actions at the 7907 Roos St. House Fire.



Unit Meritorious Achievement Medal:

- District Chief Edwin Bender - for his actions at the 7225 Bellerive Dr. highrise fire.

- Acting Captain Anthony Janke, Firefighters: Adam Flores, and Glen Mears - for their actions at the 7702 Rampart Dr. Warehouse Fire.
